Fishing rods and tackle boxes can be checked out for free at the Mississippi River Visitor Center. While fishing licenses are required in most Minnesota lakes, no license is required at certain Minnesota State Parks such as Fort Snelling. A good catch of Minnesota fish can be a real treat on any families dinner table.
